Hmong American Day in Minnesota

Hmong American Day in Minnesota

This year, the Hmong Parents Advisory Council (HPAC 833) for South Washington County School District would like to invite you to celebrate Hmong American Day with us. Hmong American Day in Minnesota is celebrated on May 14th and commemorates the service of Hmong allies during the Vietnam War and celebrates the many contributions of Hmong Minnesotans.

HPAC 833 has put together grade-level resources for 833 staff to learn more and teach about Hmong history, culture, language, and experiences. These resources will be available on May 3rd at this link: https://sites.google.com/view/hpac833/hmong-american-day-at-833

Additionally, we are excited to announce a virtual community presentation entitled, Hmong American Day is Everyday: Honoring our Past, Celebrating our futures, and Recognizing our communities. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Chia Youyee Vang. This virtual event will be on Friday, May 14th at 6 pm. You can register for the event at here
